Responsibilities

As the Senior QAQC Construction Project Manager at Galaxy’s Helios campus in Afton, TX, you will lead the quality and commissioning delivery of multiple data center phases from preconstruction through turnover to operations. You’ll drive the successful execution of major infrastructure projects by coordinating general contractors, engineers, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Quality Field Execution: Manage daily quality and commissioning construction activities on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with design documents and Galaxy’s standards.
  • Coordinate Contractors and Vendors: Direct general contractors, trade partners, and vendors to ensure alignment with project milestones, quality expectations, and safety protocols.
  • Support Commissioning and Turnover: Collaborate with internal and external engineering and operations teams to support system commissioning, testing, and seamless turnover of facilities
  • Drive Safety Culture: Enforce Galaxy’s safety standards and partner with internal and contractor safety teams to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
  • Manage Schedules and Progress: Monitor construction progress against the master schedule, identify potential delays, and coordinate mitigation strategies to maintain critical timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction activities meet Galaxy’s QA/QC standards and design specifications, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain close communication with Galaxy’s internal teams including design, engineering, construction, operations, and security to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure Regulatory and Code Compliance: Work with local authorities, inspectors, and consultants to ensure all construction activities meet applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical projects (data center, industrial, or utility-scale).
  • Deep understanding of construction delivery models, risk management, and vendor oversight.
  • Technical fluency across MEP systems.
  • Proven success managing and coordinating commissioning efforts.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, BIM 360, Bluebeam, MS Project, and SharePoint.
  • PMP, LEED, or related certifications preferred.
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to solving complex construction challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
