About the Role

As a Director, you will leverage your expertise in healthcare communications to drive strategic, high-impact client programs while contributing to the growth and development of the agency across Singapore and the APAC region.

You will lead client engagements, manage multiple accounts, mentor the team, and play a key role in business development. This role is ideal for a proactive, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys coaching teams, and is passionate about healthcare communications.

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Planning & Management: Develop innovative healthcare communications strategies aligned with client objectives. Oversee multiple accounts, provide strategic counsel across therapy areas, and ensure campaigns are delivered with high quality, results, and profitability.

  • Upskilling & Training: Share knowledge and best practices from across GCI Health and the WPP network. Lead training and development initiatives for the Singapore team to keep staff informed of industry developments and communications trends.

  • Account Profitability: Monitor service levels, resourcing, and performance to maintain account profitability. Oversee accounts to ensure operational and financial efficiency.

  • Networking, Organic Growth & Business Development: Represent GCI Health at industry events to grow personal and agency profiles. Drive organic account growth and support new business pitching. Leverage personal industry contacts for business development opportunities.

  • Client Liaison: Serve as a senior client contact, coaching teams to maintain strong relationships and achieve optimal outcomes. Step in directly with clients as needed to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.

  • Line Management: Provide direct line management and mentorship to assigned team members. Support staff development, motivation, and progression within the agency.

  • Positive Attitude & Leadership: Model professionalism, respect, and positivity in all interactions. Inspire and motivate the wider team through guidance and example.

  • Leadership Team Contribution: Actively participate in the leadership team to shape operational practices and agency marketing. Support the continued growth and strategic direction of GCI Health in Singapore and APAC.

 

  • Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or a related field, with a focus on healthcare communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft engaging content across multiple platforms.

  • Passion for staying informed about healthcare and global trends.
  • Experience managing media lists, monitoring media coverage, and analyzing media impact.

  • Familiarity with social media trends, digital tools, and content creation for various platforms.

     

     

  • Ability to contribute creative ideas and insights based on market research and industry developments.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.|

  • A degree in communications, journalism, marketing, social sciences, life sciences, or business is preferred.
