Licensed Gas / Generator Installation Technician

Generator Supercenter Chicagoland is looking for a licensed, hands-on tradesperson to join our growing installation team. Your primary responsibility will be natural gas and propane work for standby generator installations, including gas piping, regulators, pressure testing, fuel connections, and pulling required permits.

We are looking for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be part of building a strong team—not someone limited to one narrow task.

Primary responsibilities:

Install and size natural gas and propane piping for residential and light commercial generators
Pull gas/plumbing permits and coordinate inspections
Install PE, black steel, risers, valves, regulators and generator fuel connections
Pressure test, troubleshoot and commission fuel systems
Assist with trenching, generator placement, pads, equipment setup and general installation work
Support electrical/install crews where appropriate
Help solve field problems and keep projects moving

Requirements:

Must hold the license/credentials required to pull plumbing or gas permits in our service area
Strong natural gas and propane experience
Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical installation work
Valid driver's license
Dependable, professional and customer-focused
Willing to learn Generac equipment and become part of an all-around installation team
