Position Overview

As a Solar and Storage Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business, conducting on-site assessments, delivering customized proposals, and guiding clients through the renewable energy purchasing process. You will play a key role in expanding our residential solar and battery storage solutions across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect, qualify, and close new residential solar and battery storage sales
Educate homeowners on the financial and environmental benefits of solar and energy storage systems
Conduct site evaluations and gather technical data for proposal generation
Prepare and present professional, tailored proposals to potential customers
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and permitting teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to installation
Maintain CRM records, track leads, and report progress to management
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Qualifications

3+ years of proven experience in residential solar sales, energy storage, or renewable energy solutions
In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage technologies (e.g., Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, Generac PWRcell), and industry trends
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills
Comfortable conducting in-home consultations and site assessments
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
Proficient with CRM platforms and sales proposal tools
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Studies, or related field (preferred)
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client appointments

Preferred Skills:

Experience with local utility rebate programs, net metering, and solar incentives
Familiarity with sales platforms such as Aurora, Solo, or Sighten
NABCEP certification or equivalent industry training a plus
