The German European School Singapore (GESS) is looking for expressions of interest for the position of Teaching Assistant, commencing at the earliest convenience.

To be responsible and accountable for the supervision of children at all times

Planning and preparing classroom activities, portfolios and school events with classroom teacher

Cohesive nature to work with parents and other members of the school community

Assist in the routine care of children

Communicate with parents, teachers and school community

Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement

Demonstrate the highest levels of honesty, integrity and professionalism

Attend staff meetings, collaborative planning meetings and other school event, when required, i.e. professional development

Kommunikation mit Eltern, Lehrern und der Schul-Community

Beitrag zur GESS-Kultur mit Fokus auf Reflektion und kontinuierlicher Verbesserung

Höchste Standards von Ehrlichkeit, Integrität und Professionalität demonstrieren

Teilnahme an Besprechungen des Lehrerkollegiums, Mitwirkung an gemeinsamen Planungsmeetings und anderen Schulveranstaltungen (z. B. berufliche Weiterbildung)

Must be proficient in German - spoken & written language - as the class will be conducted in German

Good English skills - spoken & written language - is required, as you will be interacting with English-speaking students

Have an engaging and attentive disposition with a passion and talent to work with young children

Must have experience in teaching hands-on and inquiry lead approaches as well as in a play-based curriculum

The ability to approach people in a friendly and welcoming manner

Must demonstrate strong work ethics & possess a positive working attitude and be a great team player
