GHD is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Hydrogeologist to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to apply and expand your analytical skills across a diverse range of community and infrastructure projects.
Preferred location: Auckland, with Hamilton also considered for the right candidate.
As part of GHD’s National Environment Group, you’ll be joining a vibrant, inclusive team delivering landmark projects across New Zealand.
Our Hydrogeology & Water Sciences team is known for its collaborative culture and strong focus on staff wellbeing and development.
The role:
Support the delivery of conceptual and technical hydrogeological services, with an emphasis on analytical modelling
Support environmental field investigations, such as aquifer characterisation and monitoring programs.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, management plans, and strategies.
Collaborate with a national team of experienced scientists and engineers to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
About you:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or Geosciences (MSc preferred).
3 to 7 years’ experience in hydrogeology, environmental consulting, or a similar field.
A strong desire to grow and advance your technical skills in hydrogeology and environmental science.
Existing specialist experience in hydrogeology.
Experience in analytical modelling tools and software.
Familiarity with field investigations, data interpretation, and groundwater modelling.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams and with external stakeholders.
