We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer with a strong background in PLS‑CAD and transmission line design. This role will serve as part of our Energy team, providing technical expertise across all phases of transmission line projects.

• →Provide Senior technical leadership in the planning, design, and delivery of overhead (and where applicable underground) transmission line projects, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and commercially sound outcomes.
• →Act as a key technical authority for utility‑scale renewable and grid infrastructure projects in the Philippines and international markets.
• →Perform transmission line design using PLS‑CAD, including modelling, analysis, and optimization for transmission lines 69kV to 500kV
• →Prepare design calculations, engineering drawings, and technical documentation, reports, specifications. Develop design criteria and design basis reports, structure spotting, alignment layouts, plan & profile drawings, sag‑tension calculations and loading cases, bill of materials, structure lists, hardware and insulator specifications.
• →Ensure designs comply with PEC, NGCP, IEC, IEEE, AS/NZS, and project‑specific standards.
• →Provide technical input during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), supplier evaluations, and construction support phases.
• →Support projects from feasibility studies, conceptualization, detailed design and construction stages
• →Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical quality and compliance with relevant standards
• →Provide training, mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to junior and mid‑level transmission line engineers and designers.
• →Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, methodologies, cost estimates, and tenders.
• →Build and maintain strong client relationships to support successful project delivery. Represent GHD in technical discussions, design reviews, and selected client or site engagements.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission line design
• Proficiency in PLS‑CAD. Experience PLS‑POLE, or PLS‑TOWER is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience delivering utility‑scale transmission line projects in the Philippines and/or internationally
• Consulting or client-facing experience is a plus, including proposal writing and stakeholder coordination
