TT Electronics, Abercynon, is hiring for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to join the Site Management Team, responsible for leading the development of a safe, sustainable, compliant and continuously improving operation.

We're looking for a visible, credible and commercially-minded HSE leader who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo, ask difficult questions, and inspire people to think differently about risk, safety and environmental performance.

If you're the type of person who walks onto a shop floor and instinctively asks "Why do we do it this way?", this could be the role for you.

Working closely with the site General Manager and wider leadership team, you'll set the strategic direction for Health, Safety and Environmental performance while translating that strategy into practical improvements on the shop floor.

• Play a key role in embedding 5S and SPDQCE (Safety, People, Delivery, Quality, Cost and Environment) into everyday operations through visible leadership, coaching, data-driven decision making and employee engagement.
• Use structured problem-solving techniques to identify and eliminate root causes rather than repeatedly addressing symptoms.
• Champion environmental sustainability initiatives that improve performance while supporting long-term business goals.
• Develop leaders across the site to take ownership of HSE standards and create accountability at every level.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems while identifying opportunities to introduce further standards and best practice frameworks that add value to the business.

Success in this role means creating an environment where HSE and sustainability are owned by the whole organisation.

You'll challenge the site to move beyond minimum compliance towards consistently high operational standards, helping leaders and employees understand not only what the standard is, but why it matters and how it should be sustained.You'll combine strong technical HSE knowledge with the leadership, credibility and influencing skills required to turn those conversations into lasting change.

• Demonstrable leadership skills in an HSE related role. 
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment. 
• In depth knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO9001. 
• A strong influencer, with the ability to educate, coach, and encourage others to adopt safety practices and active involvement.
• Strong problem solving skills. 
• A mindset of continuous improvement, proactively identifying concerns and opportunities for improvement.
• Nebosh certified. 
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and follow through on actions.

Formal Interviews will be held on site and include a tour of the facility.

Please be aware that many roles at TT Electronics are subject to both security and export control restrictions which means that limitations relating to nationality may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates must achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). TT Electronics is unable to sponsor work visas for this role. 

Successful candidates will be required to undertake and pass pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
