The Finance Control Lead will be responsible for the effective operation and monitoring of all key financial processes executed within the hub (i.e. financial and management reporting, SEZ statutory reporting, Procurement to Pay, Intercompany legal entity invoicing and settlement, global intercompany eliminations), oversight of all outsourced financial activity leveraged by the hub (payroll, IBM transactional processing) and overseeing the financial close process. In addition the role will be responsible for driving the Global Control Standard agenda across all functions operating within the hub. The Control Lead role will need to collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure financial and management reporting processes work seamlessly to produce accurate timely internal and Corporate financial information.

Functional Responsibilities
- →Lead overall Financial and Statutory reporting process for the Hub including; PepsiCo Internal Reporting, SEZ compliance management, statutory reporting and, Tax compliance, filing and audit support and relationship with external auditor
- →Oversee the Hubs global intercompany invoicing, settlement and elimination process - including but not limited to oversight of pricing and markup process, cash settlement process, and true up process
- →Set the Global Control Standard (GCS) strategy for the Hub, drive the GCS deployment, proportional ownership model and actively manage progress against the strategy and targets
- →Support Hubs capex process - ownership of the accounting components of the capex
- →Own overall financial governance processes – Balance Sheet Review, allocation processes, representation letter process to internal customers
- →Partner with Treasury to manage forex activity and risks as well as cash management
- →Engage with other global functions as needed regarding and financial reporting or control processes
- →Partner with Oustide Sesrvice Providers (OSPs) for transactional (IBM) and Payroll (Allsec) support and SLA compliance.
- →Responsibility for preparation and review of journal entries for GBS
- →Responsible for Fixed Assets, ASC842 Lease accounting and Prepaid Expenses review and accounting
- →Ensuring timely closure of the Banks Reconciliations and performing revalutions
- →Preparation and review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, arranging review with the Finance Controller and ensuring timely closure of the actions items
- →Responsible for HFM Financials reporting & Supporting Tax Analyst in FAS109 Reporting
- →Ensuring SOX and other controls effectiveness in relation to above responsibilities
- →Ensuring payroll related Statutory dues are paid timely, works as SME for payroll JVs & accruals and support payroll team to ensure liability vs payment reconciliations are performed and tracked
- →Works with P2P and O2C team to ensure timely closure of the Month End Close deliverables
- →Performing the periodic close of general ledger which includes maintaining the close schedule, scheduling of subsystem reports
- →Works with SEZ Compliance Partner and Legal team to ensure all the compliances are tracked and reported monthly
- →Supports the SEZ Compliance Partner in Returns related data preparation and review including coordination with Internal team like P2P, O2C, HR & Facilities etc.
- →Ensuring data integrity and preparing financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.
- →Performing additional tasks on request of senior colleagues
- →Identification and presentation of solutions for process improvements
- →Cooperating with other team members to ensure that the GBS HUB Finance team is meeting or exceeding performance levels
- →Resolving conflicts and assisting others as required
- →Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, policies and procedures
Set Up Activities
- →Work with Corporate Control Group, GFSS, GBS global finance lead, the hub finance lead, Global IT Control & FPA leads and other global functions to define and implement reporting calendars, internal reporting processes, GL set up, integration of financial managed service providers and HFM reporting
- →Drive setup of the GL solution and HFM entity, integration of financial OSP (e.g. payroll) and support rollout and integration of the Hubs project system
- →Gain detailed understand of the SEZ regulatory rudiments and develop internal capability to ensure ongoing compliance and reporting
People Responsibilities
- →Act as a leader for the dedicated Control team (5-6 analysts), including recruiting , developing, and retaining a highly skilled and engaged workforce capable of delivering accurate, timely financial results while maintain and effective GSC environment across all functions
- →Act as the Accounting & Reporting SME and support the colleagues on related issues.
- →Attend key governance meetings and provide inputs as required.
- →Act as a point for process escalations.
- →Support the Global Process Owner, wherever relevant, in steering the Record to Report strategy and delivering targets.
Support the overall R2R process by demonstrating flexibility in providing cover for team members and training of new team members.
Requirements

- CA with 10+ years of GCC Accounting and Finance function Experience
- Strong financial Control and Reporting background working in a global environment
- Strong understanding of the PepsiCo Global Control Standard (GCS) or equivalent
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and a medium level of technical accounting understanding
- Experience working with government regulatory entities to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with multi-functional teams in a global virtual environment
- Strong understanding and aptitude for financials technologies (SAP, Bots, Data Analytics, etc.)
