Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Technical Lead with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native technologies to lead the design and delivery of scalable, reliable software solutions. The role will combine hands-on technical leadership with team leadership, with responsibility for driving architecture decisions, development practices, and end-to-end delivery across complex applications.

The candidate will work closely with product, architecture, engineering, and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience in distributed systems, API and microservices architecture, cloud platforms, DevOps, and enterprise integrations, along with the ability to mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and resolve complex engineering challenges.

This role offers the opportunity to lead engineering initiatives, establish reusable technology patterns, and contribute to the modernization of next-generation, real-time enterprise applications.

 

As SWE Technical Lead your scope would consist of …

  • Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
  • Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs supporting warehouse and supply chain operations.
  • Develop and optimize event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar streaming platforms for real-time processing.
  • Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions for distributed applications.
  • Design reliable integrations between internal and external systems using modern integration patterns.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability through code improvements, caching, and database tuning.
  • Collaborate with frontend, product, and business teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to cloud-native application development and deployment across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
  • Follow engineering best practices, design patterns, security standards, and coding guidelines while conducting peer code reviews.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and production support.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend development focus.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and building scalable distributed systems.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and working knowledge of Python.
  • Strong experience developing microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging/streaming platforms.
  • Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of distributed system design, scalability, performance optimization, and resiliency patterns.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with experience working across global teams.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical design discussions
