Requirements
~1 min read- Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering through the duration of the co-op session.
- Must have earned a minimum of 30 credit hours by the start of the co-op session.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience with CAD software including SolidWorks and AutoCAD

The Industrial Engineer Co-op will work at the Melbourne, FL facility for the Summer and Fall semesters of 2026. This position is for an Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering student interested in gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing. The selected candidate will work in a cross-functional team that applies manufacturing concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes. The candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills that is willing to learn and has the ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
- →Improve operator productivity through improvement in manufacturing processes
- →Design tooling to aid in manufacturing process
- →Supports Lean/Six Sigma initiatives including 5S, Waste Reduction, and Flow Improvements.
- →Analyze manufacturing processes for cost reduction opportunity
- →Plans and designs layout for manufacturing processes and equipment
- →Learn how to Develop Standard work for production area
- →Learn how to resolve production issues.
- →Learn how to utilize Six Sigma tools
