The Principal Product Manager role involves managing the device fleet management platform that underpins GoDaddy's terminal and point-of-sale ecosystem. In this crucial job, you will handle portals and interfaces to enable scalable device operations for banking partners and ISV integrations covering thousands of devices in the field. Additionally, you will be the primary strategic contact for partner requirements, converting complex needs into actionable product plans and ensuring smooth operations at scale

Your efforts have a direct effect on merchant uptime, partner happiness, and operational expenses. You'll help GoDaddy expand device operations efficiently while fulfilling partner commitments that support business growth. Responsibilities
~2 min readResponsibility for Fleet Management Platform
- →Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and complete the long-term vision and quarterly roadmap for our Fleet Management Platform, balancing partner needs, operational requirements, and technical debt
- →End-to-End Product Management: Own all aspects of the product surface including features, user experience, performance, reliability, and scalability
- →User Experience: Build intuitive interfaces for internal operations teams, partner support personnel, and technical administrators managing device fleets at scale
- →Platform Reliability: Ensure platform uptime, performance SLAs, and robust error handling to support mission-critical device management operations
- →Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Tools: Build comprehensive diagnostic capabilities enabling rapid identification and resolution of device, connectivity, and software issues across the fleet
Partner Requirements Management
- →Primary Partner Interface: Act as the chief product liaison for our Banking/ISV partners concerning device-adjacent product requirements.
- →Requirements Intake & Discovery: Lead intake process for initiatives driven by collaboration, conducting detailed discovery to understand business context, technical constraints, and success criteria
- →Collaborator Translation: Convert partner business needs into well-defined product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- →Partner Relationship Management: Build positive relationships with key partners, establishing trust as a reliable product partner who delivers on commitments
- →Strategic Alignment: Ensure partner requests align with broader platform strategy, negotiate scope and timelines, and manage partner expectations throughout delivery
- 8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, FinTech, payments hardware, POS systems, or terminal management, with a proven track record managing hardware/device ecosystems at scale
- Strong program management skills with experience coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives, including RAID management, release planning, and go-to-market execution
- Direct partner and client-facing experience, serving as the primary product interface for enterprise partners or banking clients, with the ability to manage complex integration processes
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear product specifications, with strong analytical skills in defining, tracking, and reporting on operational metrics
- Deep knowledge of the payments industry, including certifications, compliance requirements, and partner integration processes
- Familiarity with telemetry systems, logging infrastructure, and operational monitoring tools to support platform health and device ecosystem management
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with fleet management platforms, MDM (Mobile Device Management), or remote device administration
- Technical background with understanding of architecture and system development, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, and device SDKs
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
