Responsibilities

  • 3–6 years of experience in events, community building, field marketing, partnerships, recruiting, BD, or another role that put you in rooms with GovCon decision-makers.

  • Familiarity with the San Diego GovCon ecosystem; the associations, the events, the community rhythms. You don't need to have every relationship already; you need to know the landscape and be someone people want to know. Experience in the LA market is a plus.

  • Some experience running events or programs end-to-end, small gatherings and large tradeshows both count.

  • Comfort working alongside Sales teams and understanding how field activity connects to pipeline.

  • Willingness to travel regularly within Southern California and periodically to Hawaii, Colorado, Washington, and Alaska.

  • Curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to use them to move faster and work smarter.

You're comfortable owning outcomes without a lot of hand-holding. You build relationships naturally and show up consistently; people in the community know your name because you've been present and reliable, not because you have a big title. You're organized enough to manage logistics under pressure and curious enough to keep learning the product and the market. You thrive in environments where the work is varied, the pace is fast, and the impact is visible.

  • You'll own a market from the ground up; San Diego and LA are yours to build, with real runway to expand.
