Locum Practice Nurse (Canary Wharf)

GPDQ is seeking experienced Practice Nurses to support one of our partner clinics in Canary Wharf, London.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, innovative primary care environment, delivering high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about providing excellent patient experiences and are confident delivering a broad range of nursing services within a fast-paced primary care setting.

You'll provide a wide range of nursing services including:

• →Cervical screening
• →NHS Health Checks
• →Childhood and adult immunisations
• →Travel health assessments and vaccinations
• →Wound care and dressings
• →Venepuncture
• →Long-term condition management clinics, including:
  • →Diabetes
  • →Hypertension
  • →Cardiovascular Disease
• →Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• →Supporting population health initiatives and screening programmes
• →Remote consultations and clinical reviews where appropriate
• →Maintaining accurate clinical records and supporting quality improvement activities

You'll play an important role in delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care while contributing to an innovative model of primary healthcare.

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Previous experience working within Primary Care or General Practice
• Cervical cytology trained and competent
• Experience delivering immunisation programmes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied clinical workload
• Understanding of QOF and Primary Care quality standards
• Knowledge of safeguarding and infection prevention procedures
• Confidence using digital systems and remote consultation methods

• Experience using SystmOne
• Independent Prescribing Qualification
• Travel Health Qualification
• Spirometry experience
• Teaching or mentorship qualification
