Position Title: Custodian

Reports To: Director of Facility

Hours: 10 Hours per week/Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Grace Fellowship Church (GFC), a growing non-denominational church in Timonium, MD, is seeking a Custodian. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain the security, safety, and appearance of all facilities.
• Inspect facilities to detect malfunctions and needed repairs; make notes and recommendations to facilities management. 
• Perform housekeeping cleaning work in a timely fashion
• Prepare facilities for weekend services and other scheduled events.
• Perform landscaping work to maintain the grounds.
• Perform requests for repairs and improvements in a timely manner. 
• Serve on-call to respond to emergencies or building needs that require immediate attention over weekends and off-hours. 

Minimum Qualifications/Expectations:

• Vibrant follower of Jesus with strong character.
• Commitment and support of Grace Fellowship’s purpose, vision, and mission.
• An active and engaged member of GFC.
• Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills with the ability to manage and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma 
• Computer Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
• Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, abilities, and skills to perform effectively in the position may also be considered.

Working Hours and Conditions

• This position is for a maximum of 10 hours per week.
• Sunday morning is required as a working day on team rotation. 
• There are currently three annual events, Christmas, Easter, and Fall Launch, where additional hours are required.
• The ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times is expected.
