We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to drive the design and delivery of modern data solutions that transform complex operational and financial data into scalable, self-serve analytics platforms. As the technical lead, you will own the architectural design and implementation of AI-driven, self-serve analytics layers, particularly utilizing the Microsoft ecosystem (Dataverse, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot). You will be responsible for bridging the gap between operational and financial systems, architecting custom solutions, including proprietary API integrations, to deliver intelligent, natural-language reporting capabilities.

• →Lead technical discovery and scoping sessions to define business requirements and validate architectural feasibility.
• →Design and build robust data platforms and pipelines, including custom integrations between enterprise applications (e.g., Xero to Dataverse).
• →Manage the technical roadmap for AI-driven analytics, ensuring optimal configuration and scalability within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• →Proactively manage technical risks, including licensing/capacity planning and long-term maintenance expectations for custom integrations.
• →Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and accurate mapping between operational processes and financial reporting.
• →Design solutions that empower end-users with self-service, natural-language query capabilities.

• →7+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Platform Engineering.
• →Extensive, hands-on experience with the Microsoft ecosystem, specifically Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Power BI.
• →Demonstrated experience integrating financial/accounting systems (specifically Xero or similar ERPs like NetSuite/Dynamics 365).
• →Deep proficiency in financial reporting concepts (P&L, revenue/cost analysis, cost allocation).
• →Expertise in architecting end-to-end data pipelines, custom API integrations, and scalable data models.
• →Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical roadmaps.
• →Experience implementing AI-powered analytics or LLM-integrated platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).

• Experience managing data complexities in multi-entity, multi-currency, and global business environments.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, etc.).
• Broader exposure to modern data engineering stacks beyond the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Track record of delivering self-serve analytics platforms in fast-paced or consultancy environments.
