Greenhouse is looking for a VP, Talent to lead the strategy and day-to-day execution of  how we attract, develop, and retain world class teams in an AI driven landscape. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the integration and optimization of three global functions (Talent Acquisition and Planning, Talent Management, and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Allyship / IDEA) to deliver consistent, scalable, and measurable people programs across the entire employee lifecycle. As a technology enabled and commercially minded People leader, you will define strategic competitive advantage to solve modern workforce challenges. 

The mission is to hire great people using our structured, fair, data-driven approach. You will diagnose friction in our current processes and redesign our recruitment architecture as a responsive, high velocity system that significantly increases recruiter bandwidth and operational throughput. You will drive industry-leading efficiency at scale while maintaining a high touch, flexible experience for both hiring managers and candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Talent Acquisition: Manage the global hiring plan to hit quarterly and annual hiring goals within defined metrics. Build scalable recruiting infrastructure i.e. sourcing strategies, assessment frameworks, offer processes, and team structure that enables the team to find and win the right talent. 
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for all Talent Acquisition and Talent Management processes globally, ensuring operational consistency and efficiency. 
  • Organizational Change Management. Lead the detailed organizational design and change management planning required to successfully align the three global teams (TA, TM, and IDEA) with streamlined processes. Influence culture and processes across every level of the organization to enable a modernized employee lifecycle on a global scale. 
  • Modernize Performance: Partner with the People Leadership Team (PLT) and PBPs to redefine performance management, factoring in AI fluency and adoption as core competencies.
  • Succession Planning: Lead succession planning that identifies internal high-potentials and maps their growth against goals and leadership behaviors. 
  • Design a growth culture rooted in clarity. Manage the development and deployment of Greenhouse’s competency frameworks and leadership development programs, ensuring durability in an AI enabled world. Ensure consistent application of these frameworks in performance management and talent review processes across the global organization. 
  • Lead the narrative internally and externally. As a commercially minded people leader, you craft the story of how our talent strategy is a primary driver of business success.
  • Drive deep cross-functional synergy with Product, Content Marketing, and Partnerships; specifically, you will serve as 'Customer Zero' for the Greenhouse product suite providing a critical internal feedback loop to Product while partnering with Content Marketing to amplify our talent narrative as a primary industry thought leader.
  • Inspire "One Team" excellence. As a member of the People Leadership Team (PLT), you ensure the People Team works in lockstep to deliver a world-class employee experience.
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as business needs require
  • 10+ years leading global people teams experience
  • A demonstrated track record of coaching and empowering Directors and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting TA outcomes to onboarding success and long-term employee engagement, with a proven track record of scaling Talent Acquisition in high-growth, public company environments.
  • Proven success in defining and implementing strategic IDEA frameworks on a global scale.
  • Experience leading complex Talent Management initiatives, including change management, performance management  and leadership succession within a high-growth or transforming enterprise.
  • A history of translating complex talent metrics into measurable business value, including ROI on talent strategies and AI investment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional leaders, either as a member of the Senior Leadership Team or as internal customers. 
  • A deep understanding of how AI, automation, and data analytics are transforming the HR landscape and business.
  • Experience transitioning teams to high-efficiency self-service and shared services models.
  • A proven track record of representing organizations as a key spokesperson at industry events, conferences, and press engagements, with the ability to command a stage and effectively articulate the 'Greenhouse story' to a global audience.
  • The ability to travel, as needed, by the business (People Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team and people department offsites, conferences etc).
  • Experience in a SaaS and/or high-growth technology company is strongly preferred.

The national pay range for this role is $242,700 - $281,670. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including stock option awards, bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.

Greenhouse provides a variety of benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic life insurance, mental health resources, financial wellness benefits, and a fully paid parental leave program. For US-based employees, we offer short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan and company match. U.S. based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 13 scheduled paid holidays and up to 80 hours of paid sick leave. Non-exempt employees accrue up to 20-25 days of paid vacation time, depending on tenure, and exempt employees have flexible time off (FTO).
