Primary School Green Studies Educator
Role Description
Primary School is a dynamic, energetic, and community-minded Learning Neighbourhood within the bigger Green School Bali community. We are looking for a passionate Primary educator to engage our young learners in creative, purposeful, and holistic learning experiences. Working in partnership with their Indonesian teaching colleagues, our educators cater to diverse student learning styles and needs through the application of a wide range of teaching techniques, particularly in mathematics, literacy, and integrated, thematic-based, and project-based learning experiences. This role reports to the Head of Primary and collaborates with the whole Primary teaching team. For our teachers, students come first, and they nurture and inspire their students now to make a positive difference in the world - living fully, living respectfully, and living sustainably.
AS AN EDUCATOR, ARE YOU?
Position Criteria
- Indonesian
- A master of integration of skills, values, and well-being programs into daily learning.
- A creative and collaborative educator with deep experience in thematic and project-based learning.
- An organized educator who monitors, assesses, records, and reports student learning outcomes, applying comprehensive systems of authentic assessment and reporting in relation to student attainment of skills, and goals, that are holistic in nature and inclusive.
- Has a high level of English proficiency.
- Has prior International teaching or working experience preferred with evidence of cultural integration, competency, and language acquisition.
- Is skilled in using, explaining, and developing holistic or other non-traditional curriculum models, including overall class planning.
- Is a positive, confident, and professional communicator who can engage in courageous conversations when needed.
- Has a toolkit of differentiation techniques that meet the needs of individual learners.
- Is creative, optimistic, and effective when it comes to student Behavior Development.
- Has a growth mindset - can reflect critically upon professional experiences in order to enhance professional effectiveness, contribute to the development of a learning community and engage in professional learning activities that promote and enhance the development of the Primary Learning Neighbourhood.
- Is consistent and proactive in establishing and nurturing relationships with students, peers, parents, and the wider community.
- Has the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and integrity related to all aspects of information disseminated within or external to the School
- Has a love for the natural world and a commitment to more sustainable living - personally and professionally.
And need to have:
- Evidence of outdoor teaching experience and abilities (not just classroom as almost all lessons are outside),
- Evidence of a passion for the environment, nature, and the outdoors
- Evidence of experience in putting both these two areas together into creative outdoor education lessons.

TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR
- Inspiring, guiding, and instilling a love of learning and a sense of confidence in students
- Designing, documenting, and implementing creative, thematic, experiential, as well as proficiency-based units of study based on the Green School Learning Framework
- Organizing lessons so they are accessible to all students
- Delivering small group and individualized differentiated instruction as needed, providing support for all students
- Maintaining clear, accurate, and accessible assessment records
- Following the routines and expectations of the School
- Promoting the School’s mission statement, vision, and values
- Engaging in regular and clear communication with parents
- Leading or assisting after-school activities and supervisory requirements throughout the school year
- Participating in Green School’s joyous community events and serving on committees as requested
Start date: August 2026
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in both English and Bahasa.
- Must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in a field of Primary Education - and must have experience teaching in that field for a minimum of 2 years.
- Must not have any previous criminal convictions (legally required).
- Must not have any Child Protection concerns on file at previous schools or workplaces.
- Must be able to provide an original copy of certifications, transcripts, diplomas, and/or degrees (legally required).
