Guardz is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our core product teams, building and scaling our cybersecurity platform.
This role combines strong people leadership with a sharp product and business mindset, along with the ability to stay close to the technology and step in hands-on when needed. You will operate in a fast-moving, dynamic environment, driving execution while adapting quickly to change.
We’re looking for a manager who is AI-first in mindset, comes from modern SaaS environments, and knows how to translate product needs into scalable, high-quality engineering outcomes.

Responsibilities

→Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering ownership, accountability, and growth
→Promote an AI-first engineering culture, leveraging modern tools to improve velocity and effectiveness
→Drive delivery of customer-facing features with high standards for quality, scalability, and speed
→Partner closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define priorities and deliver business impact
→Ensure strong alignment between engineering execution and product/business goals
→Stay close to the team’s technical work, contributing to design, problem-solving, and hands-on involvement when needed
→Own team execution end-to-end: planning, delivery, and continuous improvement
→Guide architectural decisions while balancing short-term delivery with long-term system health
→Build a team environment that thrives in change, ambiguity, and rapid iteration
→Coach and mentor engineers, supporting their professional and career growth
→Continuously improve development processes, including CI/CD, testing, and cloud infrastructure

Requirements

5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
Proven experience in SaaS product companies
Strong product and business orientation, able to connect engineering work to customer and company impact
Proven adoption and transformation to AI-first development practices
Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Supporting business at scale with hundreds/thousands of customers.
Strong technical background with modern technologies (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar)
Hands-on capability, able to dive into technical challenges and support the team when needed
Solid experience with cloud environments and CI/CD practices
Strong system design and architectural thinking
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
