Position    :Clerk III (Department of Ear, Nose & Throat)

Pay    :HK$17,611 to HK$27,413 (HGPS point 2 to 9) per month including Monthly Allowance
  Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Manage medical records for patient attendance and other types of medical records (e.g. PTA (Pure Tone Audiometry), radiology reports) in ward and clinic of the department.
  2. Manage operating theatre (OT) records for OT scheduling & patient coordination.
  3. Assist in preparing monthly claims (e.g. temporary staff allowances and the Special Honorarium Scheme (SHS)) with compilation at the department level.
  4. Handle the procurement process for consumable items, maintain inventory and stock checking of supplies, furniture and equipment, together with related stores- keeping duties.
  5. Maintain and update doctors' leave plan and manage doctors' e-leave records and leave logs.
  6. Coordinate administrative and team management arrangement for rotating doctors.
  7. Compile and submit the semi-annual report on medical staff compliance with Rest Days (RD), Statutory Holidays (SH), and Public Holidays (PH).
  8. Manage and process records under the SRS for doctors.
  9. Extract and compile Outpatient Department (OPD) statistics via CDARS.
  10. Manage CMS account creation/update via UMS and provide ad-hoc user profile maintenance.
  11. Formulate, arrange and maintain the duty roster for doctors and coordinate consultation schedule.
  12. Liaise with Administrative Department to update the ENT department phone book/directory as required.
  13. Arrange general logistics for doctors.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

     

 

Entry Requirements:

1.(a)

Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR

 (b)5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) attaining the level specified below:
  - Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and
  - Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent.
2.Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing.

 

Preferable Attributes/Exposure:

  1. Knowledge of HA IT systems, (e.g., Computer Service Request System (CSRS), Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERPS), Staff Rostering System (SRS), Computer-based Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Automatic Dispatching System (ADS), eAllowance System, Medical Record Tracing System (MRTS)).
  2. Knowledge of common office automation (e.g., operation of fax machine) and PC applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
  3. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Proactive, responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  5. Fluency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is an advantage.
