The Conjoint Selection Exercise for Admission to Higher Surgical Training (CSE) is co-organized by the Hong Kong Intercollegiate Board of Surgical Colleges and Hospital Authority. It is for matching basic surgical trainees, who registered with the Hong Kong Intercollegiate Board of Surgical Colleges and respective colleges, with the appropriate potential and aptitude to different specialties for higher training.

For the CSE to be conducted in November 2026, details about the requirements and arrangement, higher training posts available, and the required documents to be submitted for application are posted on the website which can be accessed via the link below:

(i) Basic surgical trainees will have completed 2 years of basic surgical training and fulfill all training requirements set out by the Hong Kong Intercollegiate Board of Surgical Colleges and the respective Colleges by 31 December 2026; and

(ii) pass the HKICBSC Membership Examinations Part 3 or will have passed the HKICBSC Membership Examinations Part 3 by 31 December 2026.

Points to Note

1. Please submit application online by completing the e-application form and uploading the required documents by the application deadline. You are encouraged to submit your application sometime before the application deadline as the e-recruitment system may run slow when a lot of applications come in before the deadline.
