Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible to Biomedical Engineer for the supervision of services associated with the management of biomedical equipment, including installation, acceptance, maintenance, calibration, etc.
2. Lead and supervise Electrical Technicians in providing acceptance tests, repair and maintenance, quality assurance program, calibration, etc. for biomedical equipment.
3. Ensure maintenance activities of medical equipment follow the established procedural guidelines.
4. Monitor the standard of workmanship against the contract requirements, manufacturer recommendations and other recognized standards.
5. Monitor the performance of medical equipment maintenance contractors and lead inspections to check for conformity with the contract requirements, and report to the supervisor all unsatisfactory work.
6. Review technical documents of in relation to the management of medical equipment.
7. Organize and provide technical trainings.
8. Assist Biomedical Engineer in investigating biomedical equipment incidents.
9. Perform on-call duties, attend emergency calls, work outside office hours and work irregular hours when required.
10. Perform any other technical duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Entry Requirements:

1. A Higher Certificate or a Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent from a polytechnic or technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent.
2. 3 years' continuous experience in the rank of Electrical Technician in the Hospital Authority institutions.

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:

1. Experience in biomedical equipment testing and maintenance.
2. Good in leadership, enthusiasm, communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability in problem-solving and decision-making.
4. Able to work independently and under pressure.
