Position:    Senior Hospital Manager (Facilities Management)
Rank:    Architect / Building Surveyor / Engineer

Pay:    HK$72,413 to HK$143,298 [HMPS point 3 to 19] per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities: 
1.    Report to General Manager (Administrative Services) and Cluster Facility Management, and responsible for the performance of local Facility Management Department of the hospital.
2.    Plan, execute and manage minor works projects from inception to completion.
3.    Manage the projects of building, alteration, improvement, maintenance works and exercise close control on quality of works, project budget and expenditure.
4.    Provide professional advice to hospitals on the feasibility of proposed projects and assist them in the preparation of building proposals, programmes, fund bidding and selection of works agents.
5.    Oversee and manage compliance of statutory requirements/ordinances with respect to building facilities, building engineering operation and maintenance services in hospitals and clinics.
6.    Manage, monitor and report the performance of consultants, contractors and other works agents.
7.    Plan and oversee installation and commissioning of hospital systems and facilities.
8.    Plan and set up systems, procedure, guidelines, standards, etc. for facility management offices of new and existing hospital venues.
9.    Manage, monitor and control the quality and performance outcome of the built environment maintenance, engineering & general equipment maintenance, medical equipment maintenance, communication and maintenance helpline of the hospital.
10.    Oversee and manage local engineering and maintenance team, medical equipment maintenance team, and communication and maintenance helpline to provide 24-hr technical and operation support to the hospital.
11.    Develop digital twin and adopt latest technologies for exceling maintenance performance and life expectancy of the built environment of the hospital.
12.    Manage hospital space inventory and provide recommendation to hospital management on space use.
13.    Manage and monitor energy performance of the building and assist General Manager in the development and monitoring of ESG performance of the hospital.
14.    Provide professional advice and support for the design and development for hospital redevelopment project.
15.    Perform on-call and other duties as required, and may need to work outside office hours. Provide emergency support to facility and operation related incidents.

 
Entry Requirements: 
1.    Member / Corporate Member of a professional institution, i.e. the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering disciplines or equivalent.
2.    For applicants in the discipline of surveyors, at least 1 year’s appropriate post-qualification experience.

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:
1.    Considerable experience in handling additions, alterations & improvement and maintenance projects.
2.    Possess sound knowledge on term maintenance contracts or term contracts for minor works.
3.    Experience in the adoption of building information modelling (BIM-AM) for the creation of operational twin, adoption of AI and IoT application and/or development of maintenance software in predictive maintenance, space and energy performance management. 
4.    Conversant with Hong Kong construction and building related legislations and government procedures and policies on delivering public projects.
5.    Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, with good presentation skills.
6.    A high degree of self-motivation and strong organizational ability.
7.    Knowledge of MS Office, project management, building information modelling (BIM) and database software.
8.    Experience in planning and commissioning of new private/public hospitals or healthcare facilities is a definite advantage.
