Harbinger Motors is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to lead budgeting and forecasting for Engineering OpEx, CapEx and headcount. This position will partner closely with Engineering leadership to understand operational needs and how that translates to financial impacts. A successful candidate will be able to create visibility and highlight opportunities from the numbers, build strong relationships with technical leaders and is self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support the monthly rolling forecast for OpEx, CapEx and headcount with variance analysis by comparing actuals to budget and forecast
- →Partner with leaders to understand operational performance and provide commentary required for executive leadership reviews
- →Assist in the annual budgeting process by partnering with cross-functional leaders to validate financial data and consolidate budget submissions
- →Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the business
- →Partner with Supply Chain and Engineering on tracking cost down initiatives, specific to OpEx and CapEx timing
- →Work with Accounting and FP&A during month-end close for timely submission of accruals, validation of actuals, etc.
- →Continuously improve processes and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency
- →Ad hoc analysis as necessary to support leadership in the decision making process. Transforming data into actionable insights and recommendations
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Finance.
- 5+ years of relevant Finance experience. Preferably in Product Development, but not required
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets and ERP systems
