Lead Caregiver -- Home Helpers Home Care — Scranton, PA

Home Helpers Home Care is looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers who are ready to work, take pride in what they do, and want an opportunity to grow.

The Lead Caregiver position combines direct client care and the caregiver job description with responsibilities in training, mentoring, and operational support. The Lead Caregiver serves as a role model and resource for the caregiving team while providing office support and filling critical vacant shifts to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality care for clients. This role corresponds to Level 5 of the NEPA Support Solutions Caregiver Ladder Program.

What You'll Do

As a lead caregiver, you'll provide dependable, compassionate support to clients in their homes. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing direct client care
Leadership and conducting staff orientations including annual trainings
Assisting in daily operations and office duties
Shift Coverage and Flexibility
Following individualized care plans
Helping create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment

We're Looking for A Dependable Leader

2+ years professional home care or equivalent caregiving experience is needed. Looking for dependability, eagerness to learn, and willingness to grow with the company.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid driver's license or valid photo ID, Reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the service area
Must be willing to work a variety of shifts as needed
Ability to pass a background check and meet all employment requirements
Smartphone with access to email/internet
Ability to maintain client confidentiality and follow professional and ethical standards
Successful completion of all prior levels of the Caregiver Ladder Program or demonstrated equivalent competencies.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with office and field teams.
2+ years caregiving experience
