OB/GYN Hospitalist - Gilbert, AZ

Join a high-acuity Labor & Delivery team in Gilbert, Arizona, in a 100% inpatient OB/GYN Hospitalist role with flexible scheduling, no outpatient clinic responsibilities, and no take-home call.

• Location: Gilbert, Arizona — East Valley community with convenient access to the greater Phoenix metro area, dining, recreation, and year-round outdoor activities
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Practice Setting: High-Acuity Labor & Delivery Unit | 100% Inpatient
• Schedule: 7 in-house 24-hour shifts per month, with 12-hour day or night shift options based on provider preference and departmental needs
• Compensation: $300,000–$450,000 base salary, based on experience
• Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTO, sick leave, 401(k) with employer match, CME support, paid malpractice with tail coverage, and reimbursement for licensure, credentialing, and board certification fees
• Sign-On / Relocation Bonus: $20,000–$40,000 based on experience and relocation distance

This opportunity is designed for an OB/GYN who enjoys the pace and clinical variety of Labor & Delivery but prefers a structured hospital-based practice without outpatient clinic responsibilities.

You will manage both routine and high-risk obstetric cases, including labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inpatient consultations, and emergency OB/GYN evaluations. The high-acuity environment provides meaningful exposure to complex cases while maintaining a clear inpatient scope.

You will work alongside nursing, neonatology, anesthesia, maternal-fetal medicine, and other specialists, with advanced obstetric technology and multidisciplinary resources available to support patient care.

When your scheduled shift ends, there are no clinic responsibilities or take-home call requirements.

• Mix of routine and complex obstetric cases in a high-acuity L&D setting
• Strong multidisciplinary support from neonatology, anesthesia, maternal-fetal medicine, and nursing
• Structured hospital-based practice that supports meaningful clinical work without ongoing outpatient administrative responsibilities

• →Manage low- and high-risk labor and deliveries
• →Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care
• →Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• →Manage obstetric emergencies and perform emergent gynecologic procedures as clinically appropriate
• →Provide inpatient OB/GYN consultations
• →Evaluate OB/GYN patients presenting through the emergency department
• →Collaborate closely with nursing, anesthesia, neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, and other clinical teams
• →Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and treatment
• →Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
• →Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
• Active Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
• Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills

• Previous OB/GYN Hospitalist experience or experience in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting
• Competency in emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures

• AZ MD or DO license or eligible
• US-based OB/GYN residency required
• Hospitalist OB/GYN experience preferred
