We are a highly profitable, fast-growing healthcare startup—a small and mighty team of 230 helping people find and enroll in individual health coverage. To date, we’ve helped over 20 million people enroll in health coverage. We're a mission-driven team that advocates for and cares deeply about the people we serve.

We're a double bottom-line company: revenues and enrollments. The ACA brings high-quality, comprehensive, affordable health coverage within reach for low-income Americans, and we exist to make that promise a reality. Your contribution will help millions of people navigate the complex and confusing health insurance industry and enable them to access health care when needed.

We are committed to building a team that is well-balanced in representation to best serve the people who use our products. We believe in creating inclusive and equitable spaces that build trust and respect and foster a sense of belonging. These values are at the core of our culture and will continue to lead our organization to successful outcomes.

HealthSherpa is a fully remote company and was recognized as a 2026 Best Remote Place to Work by Built In, reflecting our commitment to building a people-first culture rooted in trust, flexibility, and impact.

The Senior Carrier Account Manager is an invaluable bridge between important enterprise insurance carrier clients and our internal team. You will lead the strategy, health, and outcomes of a portfolio of carrier relationships, combining proactive account leadership with hands-on solutioning and execution.

Reporting to the Carrier Account Team Manager, you will join a motivated, fun-loving team serving our carrier client base. You will work with stakeholders ranging from operators to executives and partner across Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Growth, and other teams.

This is a US-based remote role, with occasional travel to important clients.

The total cash compensation range is $104,000-$156,000 (including bonus). Additionally, the total compensation package will include equity and benefits. Within the range, additional factors, including job-related experience, determine individual pay. Your recruiter can share more during the hiring process.

  • Manage a portfolio of carrier relationships as the primary strategic and technical contact

  • Create carrier-specific plans aligned with our goals

  • Balance carrier needs with company priorities, advocating internally or proposing alternatives

  • Identify retention risks, product gaps, market insights, and opportunities to expand carrier partnerships

  • Strengthen the broader team by documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and training teammates

  • 4+ years of experience working in account management, sales, or comparable role

  • Experience owning strategic client plans and leading technical implementations or integrations

  • Experience translating technical concepts (APIs, data flows) for non-technical audiences

  • Experience managing a high-volume workload
