Responsibilities

→Operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, and other conventional machine tools.
→Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and make adjustments to produce parts to print.
→Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications.
→Use precision measuring equipment to inspect parts and verify dimensional accuracy.
→Calculate and apply feeds, speeds, tolerances, and basic machining parameters.
→Perform drilling, turning, milling, boring, tapping, and other machining operations.
→Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
→Inspect completed work to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.
→Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed.
→Work closely with engineering and production personnel to develop efficient manufacturing solutions.
→Assist with machine setup and process improvements.
→Learn and develop skills in CNC machining, including machine setup, operation, and programming.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong understanding of machining practices and processes.
Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and material characteristics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
