The Plot Thickens: Job Description

  • Desktop and end-user support: You will be the first point of contact for IT support in the Taiwan office, handling day-to-day technical issues for staff. From laptop troubleshooting, software installation, and printer setup to account provisioning and password resets, you’ll ensure the team stays productive with minimal downtime.
  • Microsoft 365 administration: You will manage and support our Microsoft 365 environment—the backbone of our daily operations. This includes administering Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID (Azure AD), as well as managing user accounts, licences, distribution groups, and security policies through the Microsoft 365 admin centre and related portals.
  • Network and infrastructure management: You will maintain and troubleshoot the office network infrastructure, including firewalls, managed network switches, and wireless access points. You’ll ensure stable and secure connectivity for all users, coordinate with ISPs for circuit issues, and support VPN configurations as needed.
  • Asset management: You will track and manage all IT hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle—from procurement and deployment to retirement and disposal. Using our asset management system (Snipe-IT), you’ll maintain accurate inventory records, manage warranty tracking, and coordinate equipment refreshes.
  • Endpoint management: You will assist with device enrolment and policy deployment through Microsoft Intune, ensuring laptops and mobile devices are properly configured, secured, and compliant with company standards. You’ll handle OS imaging, application packaging, and endpoint security agent deployment.
  • IT project support: You will participate in IT implementation projects as assigned—whether rolling out new tools, migrating services, or deploying infrastructure upgrades across the Taiwan office. You’ll work with the regional IT team to plan, test, and execute project deliverables on schedule.
  • Documentation and knowledge base: You will create and maintain IT support documentation, including standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and user-facing how-to articles. Clear documentation helps the team scale and ensures consistent support quality.
  • Vendor and contractor coordination: You will liaise with local vendors, ISPs, and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and on-site support. You’ll coordinate quotes, schedule visits, and ensure service-level commitments are met.

  • Organised and detail-oriented in tracking assets, tickets, and documentation
  • Proactive – you anticipate issues and resolve them before users notice
  • Patient and effective communicator, especially with non-technical colleagues
  • Curious and eager to learn new technologies and expand your skill set
  • Reliable and accountable – you follow through on commitments
