Housekeeping Manager

Holiday Inn Express is seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping and laundry operations. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel while effectively managing staff, productivity, supplies, and daily room readiness.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is willing to work alongside the team when needed and takes pride in maintaining a clean, well-organized property.

  Lead and supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments

• →

  Schedule housekeeping staff based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, and business needs

• →

  Assign daily room boards and responsibilities to room attendants and laundry staff

• →

  Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and hotel standards are consistently met

• →

  Ensure guest rooms are cleaned and released in a timely manner for arriving guests

• →

  Monitor housekeeping productivity, labor hours, and staffing levels

• →

  Train, coach, and provide ongoing feedback to housekeeping team members

• →

  Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees

• →

  Address attendance, performance, and conduct concerns in accordance with hotel policies

• →

  Communicate closely with the Front Desk regarding room status, early arrivals, special requests, and priority rooms

• →

  Report and follow up on maintenance issues identified in guest rooms and public areas

• →

  Manage housekeeping supplies, linens, amenities, and cleaning products

• →

  Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed

• →

  Monitor linen condition and help control loss, damage, and unnecessary replacement

• →

  Ensure housekeeping carts, storage rooms, linen closets, and work areas remain clean and organized

• →

  Oversee proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment

• →

  Ensure team members follow safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures

• →

  Respond professionally to guest cleanliness concerns and assist with resolving service issues

• →

  Maintain lost-and-found procedures and documentation

• →

  Assist with room cleaning, inspections, laundry, and other department duties when operational needs require

• →

  Work with hotel management to identify opportunities to improve cleanliness scores, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
