Part-Time General Education Faculty - Biology (Master's Required)

Instructs assigned courses according to course plan and participates in team-level, faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetings.

• →Maintains a positive, supportive learning environment in the classroom
• →Provides regular, timely and responsive communications to students using various communication methods
• →Evaluates each student’s achievement and progress; recommends strategies for success and tutors students to assist them in meeting course objectives
• →Advises students on course or program issues
  

• Instructs assigned course(s) according to the course plan
• Reviews class syllabus that follows the designed curriculum plan and explains course requirements
• Designs and implements teaching strategies that will assist the student in meeting course objectives  Monitors student attendance and performance issues.
• Recommends changes in courses to improve course effectiveness
• Records students’ attendance and grades in CAMS
• Maintains student resources associated with assigned course in CAMS
• Participates in team-level, faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetings
• Acts an ambassador of the College at all times when interacting with colleagues, staff, and students
• Participates in evaluative studies related to program improvement

Requirements:
Education:

• Master's degree in related field from an accredited college recognized by the Department of Education required

• One year college level online and/or classroom instruction
• Desirable: Five years college level online and/or classroom instruction
