HW Systems Architect

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Support organizations to drive the successful development, deployment, and lifecycle management of purpose-built HPE server solutions.

In this role, you will lead the definition, configuration, and ongoing management of server platforms and Bills of Material (BOMs) optimized for strategic ISV partner solutions and customer workloads. Working across cross-functional teams, you will ensure configurations are technically validated, orderable, supportable, and aligned with product strategy, customer requirements, and business objectives.

The successful candidate will support new product introductions (NPI), platform roadmap planning, configuration governance, lifecycle management, sales enablement, and customer escalations. This role requires a combination of strong server platform expertise, systems knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration.

• →Develop, maintain, and sustain purpose-built HPE server configurations and BOMs that optimize performance and interoperability with strategic ISV partner solutions.
• →Review and approve BOM and configuration details for test plans, validation activities, and product releases.
• →Track server platforms, options, and component lifecycles, and maintain reports identifying roadmap changes, lifecycle risks, and transition requirements.
• →Support the development and ongoing maintenance of configuration menus, option structures, and business rules within HPE ordering, configuration, and quoting tools.
• →Provide technical guidance and recommendations for field sales inquiries, customer-specific non-standard configurations, and special requests for large-deal opportunities.
• →Support customer and field escalations by reproducing issues, validating configurations, and assisting with root cause investigations.
• →Support physical lab environments, including hardware setup, configuration, maintenance, and testing activities.
• →Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Support teams to ensure configuration accuracy and lifecycle readiness.

• Knowledge of server hardware architectures, including processors, memory, storage, networking, and platform options.
• Knowledge of enterprise data protection and recovery architectures, cyber resilience and cyber recovery strategies, secure vaulting technologies, and enterprise virtualization platforms
• Experience with BOM management, product configuration management, and lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with configuration, quoting, and ordering systems.
• Ability to analyze customer requirements and develop supported hardware configurations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of server component lifecycle management and platform roadmap planning.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with technical, business, and customer-facing teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in server hardware, platform engineering, configuration management, product lifecycle management, or a related technical role.
• Experience developing and managing hardware configurations and BOMs for enterprise products.
• Experience working across engineering, product management, sales, manufacturing, and support organizations.
