Lifeway is seeking a Communications & Admin Specialist to support high-visibility communications, executive administration, donation stewardship, and event logistics that serve Lifeway’s leaders, trustees, and ministry partners. This role combines strong written communication, careful operational follow-through, and warm stakeholder service to help the Corporate Communications team execute with excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
  • Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading communications such as emails, newsletters, announcements, reports, presentations, and articles 
  • Provide administrative support for the director of Corporate Communications, executive director of Lifeway Research, and the broader Corporate Communications team, including calendars, expense reports, meeting materials, and records management 
  • Manage donation requests, fulfillment coordination, budget tracking, and related recordkeeping across divisions 
  • Assist with planning and execution for events, such as trustee meetings, corporate Lifeway events, and other special events, including site selection, vendors, AV, hospitality, and on-site logistics 
  • Support community engagement efforts and help maintain relationships with civic groups and SBC entities 
  • Run reports and analysis projects as directed to support communications and leadership decision-making 
  • Perform basic graphic design work using Canva, Adobe products, or similar tools to support communication needs 
  • Maintain organized templates, media assets, and operational resources that improve consistency and service delivery across the team 
  • Serve internal and external stakeholders with professionalism, discretion, responsiveness, and strong follow-through 

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field, required

Masters degree in public relations, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field, not required

Advanced graduate degree (PhD, etc.), not required

 

 

  • 3-5 years of experience including communications, event planning, and administrative support 
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading experience with AP or Chicago style   
  • Experience coordinating logistics, budgets, vendors, records, and service-oriented processes  
  • Administrative support experience including expense reports, scheduling, invoicing, and contracts  
  • Project management ability with success managing multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Must live in the Nashville metropolitan area and be able to come to the office periodically (no set schedule)

 

Actively involved in a Southern Baptist church

 

Nice to Have
