HR Manager (Part-time) (San Rafael, CA; SF Bay Area)

Are you a seasoned HR Manager who is looking for work/life balance and flexibility? If so, we’d love to see your resume. This is a part-time position 10 to 20 hours per week. Our best consultants are smart and have a client-centric perspective with broad yet deep HR Generalist experience. Our clients appreciate the fact that our consultants listen and address complex issues to fit our client's industry and organizational philosophies. Our consultants are comfortable with today's workplace challenges issues, and can quickly switch gears to conduct audits, coach managers, address performance issues, recruit, write job descriptions, draft policies and handbooks, interpret and apply wage and hour laws, and more.  

Our clients are fantastic and appreciate the work that you do for them! We have regular in-service sessions for our consultants and have a strong collaborative culture.  

The HR Manager is located in the San Francisco Bay area, with clients located in various parts of California and with national presence. We help organizations solve HR issues and work primarily by referral and repeat business. Candidate hired would work remotely with the ability to visit client sites in the SF Bay Area.

Our ideal candidate will have: 

• Seven years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience in exempt or management positions
• Strong computing skills/aptitude (Office, HRIS/Payroll systems) because we use technology solutions to communicate and to bring efficiency to our service delivery
• Recent HR compliance experience with California based companies
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Outstanding writing skills are a must for this job
• A four year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or the equivalent

Occasional travel to client locations is required
