Role Overview
The Finance Associate Manager – CAPEX Controllership serves as the key finance partner for assigned business units, overseeing capital expenditure monitoring, analysis, and financial reporting. The role is responsible for ensuring that CAPEX-related activities are aligned with financial policies, internal controls, and approved budgets while providing insights that support operational and investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any business-related course
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred
- With at least 3 to 4 years of proven experience in CAPEX monitoring, controllership, financial analysis, and reporting
- Strong understanding of finance policies, internal controls, and compliance standards
- Background in industries such as infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, real estate, or utilities is an advantage
- Candidates from audit firms are preferred, particularly those who handled clients within the above-mentioned industries
- Experience in accounts payable or payable processing is a plus
- Proficient in financial reporting, budget monitoring, and variance analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance partner of assigned business units, providing financial guidance and support on CAPEX-related initiatives
- Monitor and analyze capital expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets, project timelines, and financial objectives
- Prepare and present accurate CAPEX reports, financial analyses, and performance insights to management and key stakeholders
- Review and validate CAPEX requests, project costs, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies
- Conduct variance analysis and identify financial risks, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement
- Ensure adherence to finance policies, procedures, and internal control standards across all CAPEX-related transactions and activities
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to support project implementation, financial planning, and budget utilization tracking
- Assist in strengthening financial governance by recommending and implementing process enhancements and control measures
- Support accounts payable-related activities for CAPEX transactions, including invoice validation and payment monitoring when necessary
- Participate in audits and provide the required financial documentation, analyses, and explanations related to CAPEX management and compliance initiatives
