JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor with at least 1 year of experience in warehouse supervision to be part of the leadership team at our facility in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will oversee inventory, shipping, and receiving operations, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

SALARY:
- This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $26-30 per hour

SHIFT:
- 1st Shift Monday-Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm with Saturday overtime as needed


Ideal Candidate is experienced in these areas:

  • High-volume cross-dock experience – Experience managing fast-paced operations with multiple inbound and outbound containers throughout the shift.
  • Container de-vanning/loading experience – Strong understanding of unloading, staging, loading, freight flow, and proper trailer/container utilization.
  • Clamp truck/forklift experience – Preferably hands-on experience operating and supervising clamp truck operations involving large/bulk freight.
  • DDC & RDC operational experience – Familiarity with both distribution center and regional distribution center workflows.
  • Labor planning & scheduling – Ability to schedule and adjust staffing based on daily container volume, workload, productivity, and customer needs.
  • Productivity management – Comfortable tracking unload/load times, production goals, labor utilization, and individual/team performance.
  • Data entry & reporting – Proficient with Excel, email, and basic warehouse systems; able to accurately enter container, production, labor, and operational data.
  • Team leadership – Experience managing, coaching, training, and holding associates accountable for performance, attendance, quality, and safety.
  • Interviewing – Comfortable interviewing candidates, assisting with hiring decisions, onboarding new associates, and identifying staffing needs.
  • Safety management – Strong understanding of warehouse safety, PIT/clamp truck safety, proper material handling, dock safety, and incident prevention.
  • Damage/quality control – Ability to identify freight damage trends, investigate root causes, and coach operators to reduce product damage.
  • Customer communication – Comfortable communicating directly with the client regarding volume, trailer availability, staffing, operational challenges, and daily performance.
  • Problem-solving & decision-making – Able to react quickly to trailer shortages, volume swings, call-offs, equipment issues, and other operational changes without disrupting production.
  • Strong communication and organization – Able to clearly communicate expectations to associates while keeping management informed of issues and progress.
  • Flexible availability – Able to work the Monday–Friday schedule and Saturday overtime as operational needs require.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Managers in managing day-to-day warehouse operations and logistics.

- Monitor key performance indicators to track and improve warehouse performance.
- Lead and mentor warehouse personnel, ensuring a motivated and productive team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and achieve company objectives.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
