AU Senior Accountant (018-633)

• →Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and workpapers for Australian clients
• →Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including reconciliations, BAS preparation, and compliance support
• →Work within the Xero ecosystem, including Xero Tax, Xero Ledger, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), and FYI Docs to manage workflows and documentation
• →Use software tools like Ignition, Adobe PDF, MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.), and AccountKit (preferred) to support accounting and client processes
• →Liaise with onshore accountants to clarify issues, resolve discrepancies, and meet deadlines
• →Support the practice lead by proactively managing workload and identifying efficiency improvements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with Australian public practice experience highly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Xero stack (Tax, Ledger, XPM), FYI Docs, and general accounting software
• Proficiency in Ignition, Adobe PDF, MS Office; familiarity with AccountKit is a plus
• Ability to quickly pick up processes and work effectively in a remote setup
• Willingness to focus on preparation and review work (no ATO lodgement responsibility)

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
