Data and AI Governance Manager (Remote)

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Data and AI Governance Manager to join our Data & Analytics department.  In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the Data Steward community where you’ll be instrumental in accelerating the adoption of our data catalog. The Role

Responsibilities include leading the enhancements for and the operations of our data catalog on the Atlan platform.

•Lead enhancements and ongoing operations of the Atlan data catalog platform

•Educate Data Stewards on responsibilities and enhance metadata curation reporting

•Maintain data asset ownership processes and inventory

•Evaluate and test new platform features

•Ensure adherence to data governance standards and best practices

•Manage processes to enrich data asset metadata

•Develop operational administration guides and the service catalog

•Maintain the business glossary and enhance change management process

•Execute metrics and monitoring processes to assess platform performance and identify improvement opportunities

•Partner with Communications to develop training materials and deliver user education

•Define and execute controls to validate metadata completeness and accuracy

•Partner with the Product Manager, Platform team, and IT to implement future integrations and onboard applications to Atlan based on roadmap priorities

Experience Required: 

•Minimum 10 years experience in data governance, data analytics, or product management role

•Proficient in implementing/managing data catalogs

•Demonstrated understanding of metadata management, data governance, and lineage concepts

•A history of success in building strong relationships to anticipate stakeholder needs

•Proven proficiency using agile methods to implement and managing technology products

•Demonstrated understanding of metadata management, data governance, and lineage concepts

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•Strong verbal and communication skills to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Experience Preferred: 

•Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in business administration, information management, computer science, or related program

•Proven experience with Atlan data catalog product

•Hospitality Experience preferred

The salary range for this position is $133,200 - $173,000

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.  Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
