Sourcing Specialist (Hybrid opportunity)

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Sourcing Specialist to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders and supplier partners to support sourcing activities from initial business requirements through supplier selection, contracting, and payment completion. You will play a key role in driving procurement efficiency, securing competitive commercial agreements, ensuring continuity of supply, and supporting Hyatt's commitment to operational excellence and responsible cost management.

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will manage sourcing initiatives for a variety of goods and services, working cross-functionally with business partners and suppliers to deliver value, quality, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include:

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop sourcing strategies that support operational objectives.

• Analyze requirements and identify qualified suppliers capable of meeting business, quality, service, and delivery expectations.

• Lead competitive sourcing events utilizing RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, auctions, and bid processes to evaluate supplier capabilities and commercial offerings.

• Negotiate pricing, contract terms, service levels, and commercial agreements to maximize value and mitigate risk.

• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, labor rates, and industry conditions that may impact sourcing decisions and purchasing strategies.

• Identify and deliver cost savings opportunities while ensuring business requirements and service expectations are achieved.

• Lead supplier evaluation and selection processes based on quality, service, cost, compliance, and overall business fit.

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.

• Create and manage leverage agreements and strategic sourcing arrangements to support business objectives.

• Expand supplier networks and reduce dependency on single-source suppliers by identifying and qualifying alternative sources of supply.

Experience Required: 

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related function.

• Experience supporting sourcing activities, supplier negotiations, contracting, or procurement operations.

Experience Preferred: 

• Experience working in a corporate, hospitality, shared services, or multi-location environment.

• Exposure to strategic sourcing methodologies and supplier management practices.

• Experience managing competitive sourcing processes such as RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
