IU Health Arnett is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Quality Improvement (QI) Consultant to support Trauma Services. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a strong clinical background in Emergency Department, ICU, or Operating Room settings, possessing 3-5 years of relevant experience (5+ years preferred). This role involves developing, leading, and implementing continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, and overall service excellence within the trauma program.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of continuous quality improvement activities for Trauma Services.
- →Conduct ongoing analysis to identify gaps in clinical care, barriers to optimal outcomes, and areas for improvement, aligning initiatives with organizational strategic goals.
- →Facilitate the organization's performance improvement processes in collaboration with project team leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
- →Design and deliver training and education programs for staff and physicians on:
- →Performance improvement methodologies
- →Data analysis and data processing
- →Work simplification techniques
- →Other relevant subjects
- →Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting to monitor clinical performance and support evidence-based decision-making.
- →Serve as a subject matter expert in trauma care quality standards and best practices, including trauma-specific competencies such as TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
- →Lead and participate in performance improvement projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- →Collaborate across departments to foster a culture of quality and safety.
Requirements

- Masters degree in clinical healthcare or business preferred.
- Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license preferred.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in Emergency Department, ICU, or OR settings; 5+ years of experience strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Office skills to include: Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and SharePoint. May require knowledge of data entry systems (e.g. NCQA IDSS/ISS tools, electronic health records, supplemental databases, HEDIS software tools). Occasional local travel (no overnight).
- Ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.
