Engineer/Senior/Staff Engineer – Automation

In this role, you will lead the optimization and continuous improvement of manufacturing automation systems, including robotics, automated material handling systems, AMRs, and advanced automation equipment . You will leverage data analytics, troubleshooting expertise, and engineering innovation to improve equipment uptime, enhance manufacturing efficiency, and support the deployment of cutting-edge automation solutions from concept through production. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Own the stability, reliability, and performance of automation systems and equipment to maximize equipment uptime and support efficient manufacturing operations. Drive continuous equipment improvement initiatives through systematic root cause analysis (RCA), troubleshooting, corrective, and preventive actions to achieve utilization and uptime targets. Analyze operational and equipment data to identify trends, resolve daily manufacturing challenges, and implement data-driven solutions for performance improvement. Develop, optimize, and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs to ensure equipment reliability, availability, and long-term operational excellence. Lead equipment troubleshooting and recovery activities , minimizing downtime and ensuring rapid restoration of production capability. Manage equipment spare parts inventory , including critical spare forecasting, inventory control, and timely replenishment to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, and Equipment Suppliers to drive automation enhancements and operational efficiency. Support automation projects from Proof of Concept (PoC) through production deployment , ensuring successful qualification, integration, scaling, and adoption of advanced automation technologies within manufacturing environments. Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering , or other related engineering disciplines. 3–5 years of relevant experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing automation systems and equipment within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong hands-on experience with robotics , automated material handling systems (AMHS) , packing and palletizing systems , Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) , and other advanced manufacturing automation technologies is highly preferred. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau to develop dashboards, monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and support data-driven decision making is preferred. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations to deliver project milestones and drive operational improvements. A self-motivated and results-oriented individual with strong analytical thinking , troubleshooting skills, and a proven track record of solving complex technical and operational challenges . Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills , with the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple functions and organizational levels. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision , manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to successful completion.
