Manager Product Development

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager Product Development to lead a team of engineers and technical professionals in driving product development initiatives. This role is responsible for managing team performance, providing technical leadership, supporting project execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of development objectives aligned with business priorities. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with solid technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate strategic goals into operational execution. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Team Leadership & People Management Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, technical professionals, and/or supervisors. Set clear performance objectives and expectations for team members. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development guidance. Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and innovation-driven work environment. Product Development Management Drive product development activities to ensure project milestones, quality targets, and business objectives are achieved. Allocate resources effectively to support development priorities and operational requirements. Monitor project progress and resolve technical and operational challenges. Adapt departmental plans and priorities in response to changing business needs and resource constraints. Ensure compliance with established processes, standards, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams. Support problem-solving and decision-making for complex technical issues. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders from engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, and business teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product development efficiency and effectiveness. Support innovation and the implementation of new technologies, methodologies, and development practices. Operational Excellence Establish and maintain team operating standards and ensure adherence to essential procedures. Monitor team performance, project execution, and resource utilization. Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery. Support strategic initiatives and contribute to departmental planning activities. Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed  Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Additional subject-specific qualifications or certifications will be considered an advantage. Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in Product Development, Engineering, Technology Development, Manufacturing, or related technical fields. Prior experience in a leadership, supervisory, or project management role is preferred. Proven experience managing technical teams and driving project execution. Strong technical knowledge within product development and engineering environments. Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop practical solutions. Experience working in a structured development environment with defined processes and procedures. Understanding of project management principles and resource planning. Strong people leadership and coaching skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and organizational levels. Results-oriented with a high level of accountability and ownership.
