Principal Engineer - AWS

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect with strong hands-on development expertise in AWS. This role focuses on designing and building scalable cloud-native solutions, combining architectural thinking with active coding. The ideal candidate is a practical, delivery-oriented engineer who can translate solution designs into working systems, contributing directly to development while guiding teams on best practices. This is not a lead architect or DevOps-focused role, but a hands-on technical contributor delivering high-quality cloud solutions. Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Define and own end-to-end cloud architecture for large-scale distributed systems on AWS. * Design microservices-based architectures, API-driven platforms, and event-driven systems. * Ensure solutions meet scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency requirements. * Establish reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices. * Contribute to end-to-end development and delivery of solution * Actively develop backend services using Node.js * Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices * Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using TDD practices * Perform code reviews and guide teams on best practices Microservices & API Engineering : * Develop scalable, modular microservices architectures * Implement API-first and event-driven design principles * Ensure systems are highly scalable and maintainable Development Practices : * Work with CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment integration * Ensure code quality through automated testing and integration Security & Governance : * Architect secure systems using IAM, encryption, network isolation, and compliance frameworks. * Define governance, cost optimization, and monitoring strategies. * Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards. Collaboration & Technical Guidance : * Collaborate with development, DevOps, and architecture teams * Provide technical guidance within project teams * Mentor engineers on cloud development and coding practices Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed * 10–15+ years of experience in software engineering * 6–10+ years hands-on experience is AWS is must. * Must have strong hands on exposure on AWS Services like AWS IoT Core, AWS Device Management, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS IAM, AWS SNS, AWS API Gateway, AWS SQS, AWS EC2 * Strong expertise in microservices and REST API development usingNode.js * Experience designing and building cloud-native distributed systems * Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration * Strong understanding of test-driven development * Experience in IoT-based solutions and device integration * Exposure to Generative AI * Experience with Kubernetes and container-based environments * Knowledge of performance optimization and troubleshooting * Principal Engineer level individual contributor * Focus on solution development and implementation-driven design * Not focused on enterprise architecture governance or DevOps ownership * Typical split: 60–70 percent development, 30–40 percent design and technical guidance Contact: AnandNarendrakumar.Rawal@infineon.com #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
