Senior Engineer System Application Your Role The Senior Hardware Engineer will provide dedicated support in all phases of hardware development for power semiconductor applications--including residential PV systems, energy storage systems (ESS, including balcony ESS), and PV optimizers. Your core responsibilities will involve assisting with schematic drafting, PCB layout support, prototype assembly, testing coordination, and documentation. Key responsibilities in your new role * Assist in drafting schematic diagrams (using tools like Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro) for power semiconductor-based systems (e.g., PV optimizers, small-scale ESS), ensuring alignment with design specifications. * Basic PCB design. * Research and compile technical datasheets for components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, basic power semiconductors like MOSFETs) to support the senior engineer’s component selection process. * Support prototype assembly: Solder components onto PCBs (following ESD safety guidelines), perform basic visual inspections (e.g., checking for soldering defects), and prepare prototypes for testing. * Hardware testing: Set up test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) , testing prototype according specification, record and analysis test data. * Help conduct preliminary validation checks (e.g., continuity testing, basic functional tests for low-power circuits) and report anomalies to the senior engineer for further analysis. Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed * Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field (fresh graduates or 1-2 years of work experience are welcome). * Fundamental understanding of electrical circuits (AC/DC, analog/digital) and power electronics basics (e.g., basic converters like buck/boost, role of power semiconductors). * Familiarity with at least one schematic design tool (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence) or willingness to learn quickly; basic knowledge of PCB design principles is a plus. * Basic soldering skills (ability to solder through-hole and surface-mount components) and awareness of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety protocols. * Understanding of test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and ability to use them under guidance. * Strong learning agility: Eagerness to absorb knowledge of power electronics, clean energy applications, and industry standards. * Team collaboration: Willingness to follow instructions, communicate progress clearly, and ask questions to ensure alignment with the senior engineer’s goals. * Passion for clean energy: Interest in renewable energy technologies (PV, energy storage) is a plus.
