Staff Engineer Applications Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Product application support for Medium Voltage GaN products in DC/DC applications like IBCs, PSUs * Design and test new product evaluation, reference and demo boards * Validate new products and solutions for telecom and data center applications * Create go-to-market evaluation boards, reference design schematics, application notes and design tools for new product * Support customer design-in activities including schematic & layout reviews, board bring up, system-level validation and debugging of technical problems * Provide technical training to FAEs, sales, and customers * Approximately 10% of travel time to provide on-site customer support Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed * Bachelor’s/Master’s degree above in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field * Experience on DC/DC converters design * Extensive knowledge DC/DC system level designs with experience in testing, debugging and device selection * Strong understanding following topologies * Non isolated DC/DC topologies like buck, boost, multiphase converters * Isolated DC/DC topologies like half bridge, full bridge, LLCs * Expertise in one or more of the following domains: design, simulations, magnetics, EMI/EMC, board layout * Experience with other power electronics designs like motor control, solar, charger adapters is a plus * Problem solver, and happy to help on customer’s technical requirements; * Be familiar with software tools such as Altium Designers, Mathcad/Matlab, PLECS, Simplis/Simetrix, Labview * Familiar with digital control with FPGA or MCU/ DSP will be a plus * Understanding the switching power component MOSFET, IGBT etc. GaN and SiC MOSFET experience is a plus * Teamwork, self-discipline/ motivated/ innovative and aggressive; Good verbal and written communication skills Contact: sunny.wang@infineon.cn #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
