Geopolitical Intelligence Analyst

Role Background The Geopolitical Intelligence Analyst role will focus on daily production of short-form summaries (90-120 words) of media reporting on key geopolitical developments around the globe. Priority topics include geopolitical conflicts, natural disasters, economic or trade agreements, and military exercises, among others. Coverage of these events must be timely –– ideally no more than one day after the event has occurred. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring major international news outlets, as well as regional media, to identify events of interest to our customer base. Additionally the analyst must work with Insikt Group’s Current Intelligence & Hybrid Threats (CIHT) team for other basic level tasks related to data collection and curation on the Recorded Future Platform. Specific Duties and Responsibilities ● Author Insikt Notes: Write brief Geopolitical Validated Event (GVE) notes for publication in the Recorded Future Platform using open-source reporting. GVEs provide Geopolitical Intelligence Module customers with the “who/what/when/where” about new and emerging geopolitical developments, aligned with Insikt Group priority intelligence requirements (PIRs). ○ Cadence: Write 8-10 GVE notes daily ○ Quality: Authored GVE notes should require minimal editing for grammatical or syntax errors. Plagiarism is not acceptable. The supplemental use of Recorded Future approved artificial intelligence (AI) tools are encouraged but not intended to replace human analysis, decision making, and editing. ● Curate Entities: Submit Jira ticket requests to curate entities that are not already present in the Recorded Future Platform. ○ Use Case: The Recorded Future Platform tracks entities –– person, places, or things, such as a political leader, a geographic location, or a military vessel –– to enable advanced queries by our analysts and customers. ● Information Security: Adhere to and implement Infinit-O's quality and information security policies and carry out its processes and procedures accordingly. ○ Protect client-supplied and generated-for-client information from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference (see also Table of Offenses). ○ Carry out tasks as assigned and aligned with particular processes or activities related to information security. ○ Report any potential or committed non-conformity, observation and/or security event or risks to the immediate superior. Required Skills ● Strong written and verbal communication in English ● Able to produce written reports on geopolitical affairs, international economics, and national security subjects in a clear, concise, and logical format ● Disciplined time management ● Self-starting, self-motivated, and thrive in a collaborative environment ● Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback from peers and leadership ● Willingness to learn and incorporate new technologies into workflows, such as AI-enabled capabilities ● Interest in developing cybersecurity knowledge and learning from teammates MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ● B.A. equivalent in international relations, political science, regional studies, or a related discipline ● Two (2) years of professional experience ● Proficiency with open source intelligence (OSINT) collection and analysis, and experience writing short-form research products PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ● Professional fluency in reading a foreign language (beyond English and Tagalog). ● Experience using large language models (LLMs) ● Adeptness with cybersecurity concepts ● Familiarity with AI tools such as Google Gemini or ChatGPT
