Shipping Supervisor

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, and coordinating timely, cost-effective transportation of finished goods. This role leads the Shipping/Receiving team while maintaining operational standards, accuracy, and alignment with plant KPIs and safety requirements.

• →Lead and manage Shipping/Receiving staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance management, and corrective actions
• →Plan and execute daily shipping activities to meet operational KPIs and deadlines
• →Oversee inventory accuracy, including daily transaction reviews, cycle counts, and reporting
• →Ensure compliance with Enterprise Shipping Manual standards and procedures
• →Coordinate shipping schedules, load configurations, and transportation details with Sales and Customer Service
• →Manage yard operations and inventory movement, including off-site storage
• →Maintain accurate inventory through timely processing of RGAs, PPRs, and cycle counts
• →Oversee procurement of shipping-related consumables, including vendor selection and cost management
• →Lead annual physical inventory audits
• →Support and promote LEAN and 5S initiatives within the department
• →Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies and actively promote a safe work environment
• →Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or Corporate Logistics Manager

• 5+ years of shipping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of experience coordinating with carriers, logistics providers, and customers
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel required); ERP experience preferred
• Forklift experience required

• Experience interpreting engineered drawings
• Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing and 5S practices
