Position Summary
Leads combined wastewater collections and stormwater operations—ensuring regulatory compliance, asset maintenance, and resilience for wet‑weather events.
Key Responsibilities
Direct stormwater inspections, inlet/outfall maintenance, ditch/pond mowing, and illicit discharge investigations; maintain MS4 records and annual reports.
Coordinate collections cleaning/CCTV, SSO prevention, and wet‑weather response; integrate data across systems.
Develop SOPs for dewatering, erosion/sediment control, and spill response; oversee contractor performance.
Manage budgets, staffing, and equipment (vactors, jetters, mowers, CCTV vans).
Engage with municipalities and the public on education and right‑of‑way coordination.
Produce KPI dashboards (MS4 inspections, SSO frequency, response times) and continuous improvement plans.
Qualifications
8+ years in stormwater/collections with 2+ years leadership; MS4 program experience required.
Knowledge of CWA, NPDES, erosion control, and BMP maintenance.
Strong safety, communication, and stakeholder skills.
Education & Certifications
Associate’s required; Bachelor’s in environmental science/engineering preferred.
Stormwater inspector certification (e.g., CESCL/CPESC) preferred; wastewater certification a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Field‑based role with frequent driving, outdoor work in varied weather, and exposure to traffic, confined spaces, biological/chemical hazards, and uneven terrain.
