  • You’ll will provide owner’s Rep’ and QA services for public agencies water and wastewater capital improvements in Inland Empire areas.
  • You have already built a long and strong working relationship with water and wastewater public agencies in southern California in your career.
  • You'll inspect and record Contractor’s construction activities at the project site to ensure conformance to the contract documents.
  • You'll take measurements and maintain records of quantities and materials installed.
  • You'll review and compile Inspection Team’s field information and produce reports as assigned.
  • You'll respond to inquiries regarding inspection as related to the project.
  • You'll exercise sound judgment in identifying potential problems and report any issues to immediate supervisor.
  • You'll work within a Project Team environment to resolve problems.
  • You'll perform office support work, compiling records and data for proposed and completed projects.
  • You'll assist in preconstruction services, including review of drawings for constructability reviews estimates.
  • You'll delegate adequate authority to other Project Inspectors and establish a good relationship with the Client that will enhance capability to perform repeat work.
  • You'll assist in setting policies and procedures for company inspection standards and notify Senior Management of any event that will significantly affect completion, profitability or client relationship.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. There will be both day and night shift assignments.
  • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology OR Additional 4 (four) years of related experience
  • Minimum of 15 (fifteen) years’ experience as a Construction Inspector
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Designation as CMIT (Construction Manager In-Training) per CMAA (Construction Management Association of America)
  • Certified as a Concrete Field-Testing Technician Level 1 per ACI (American Concrete Institute)
  • Certified as an ODOT Pre-Qualified Construction Inspector
  • NICET, APWA certifications
  • Note: If not already certified as a CMIT, ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Level, or ODOT Prequalified Inspector, it is desirable for the candidate to achieve these designations within first year of service
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications and geotechnical reports
  • Knowledgeable in math, including geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports, both manually and electronically
  • Ability to work in team environment and lead assigned
  • Excellent communication skills
