The Opportunity
Infravision is looking for a hands-on Transmission Stringing Equipment Operator to operate, transport, set up, and support Infravision’s smart tension puller and related systems used in pre-stringing operations.
This role is critical to safe and efficient field execution on commercial projects, demonstrations, and customer deployments. The Transmission Stringing Equipment Operator will work closely with field teams, technical teams, project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure equipment is properly prepared, transported, operated, maintained, documented, and ready for project needs.
This is a field-based role in a fast-moving operations environment. The right candidate will bring strong equipment operation skills, safety discipline, mechanical and electrical aptitude, professional communication, and the flexibility to support a broad range of responsibilities in remote and active project environments.

What You’ll Do
- Operate Infravision’s smart tension puller and related transmission stringing systems in support of pre-stringing operations, customer projects, demonstrations, and deployments.
- Transport, load, unload, set up, operate, and break down equipment safely and efficiently at project sites.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, pre-operation, and post-operation inspections of equipment, vehicles, systems, and associated components.
- Monitor system functionality before and during deployment, including power, cooling, communication, mechanical, and operational systems.
- Coordinate equipment transport, setup, deployment, and scheduling with internal teams, contractors, project managers, field crews, and external stakeholders.
- Support onsite configuration, inventory checks, equipment readiness, and project-specific setup needs.
- Troubleshoot operational issues related to generators, batteries, communication equipment, mechanical components, and power distribution systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs to help prevent equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of transport logs, setup details, equipment inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, incidents, and project updates.
- Support safety and compliance requirements by conducting equipment checks, following company procedures, using appropriate PPE, and supporting safe work execution.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with field teams, technical support, contractors, project managers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Work outdoors in field-based environments, including construction sites, remote locations, urban project sites, rugged terrain, and challenging weather conditions.
- Travel as required and support flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, extended hours, or on-call needs when required.
- Support other field, operational, safety, documentation, logistics, equipment, and startup needs as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or certification in equipment operation, heavy equipment, mechanical systems, electrical systems, commercial driving, or related fields preferred.
- Experience operating, transporting, setting up, maintaining, or supporting field-based equipment, heavy equipment, utility equipment, construction equipment, or similar systems.
- Experience with transmission stringing equipment, tensioners, pullers, generators, power distribution units, communication systems, or similar field equipment preferred.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, power, communication, and equipment systems used in field operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, system failures, and operational challenges in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to operate large vehicles, equipment, systems, or heavy field assets safely.
- Commercial driver’s license, heavy equipment certification, or ability to obtain required certifications preferred.
- Strong safety mindset and ability to follow safety protocols, equipment procedures, emergency procedures, and site requirements.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure in remote, active, or challenging field environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments while following strict safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment, including objects over 50 lbs. when required.
- Ability and willingness to travel, work flexible hours, and support weekend, evening, extended-hour, or on-call needs as required.
